indesit IDL 500 not heating

Hi,
my Indesit IDL 500 not dishwasher is not heating. What’s the first thing I should check? I had a quick look, it looks like there’s only a cold water feed, so I imagine something is up with the heating circuitery. Which I’m guessing is round the back, and a problem to get at…

…if it’s likely to cost much to fix, I’m all for replacing this thin, it’s been pretty awful. It leaked intermittently from the start, which the engineer couldn’t fix. Bits fall off. It is ‘quirky’ in its operation.

HEATER – access from underneath.
PCB – in the control panel.

Those are the prime suspects, have seen wiring burning out at the element as well.

Power off if you plan to do this yourself.

Long term, THIS is a much better bet.
