ParticipantHello – wondering if someone can help me fault find my dishwasher – an INDESIT IDL 700 UK.
Yesterday I noticed that the bottom of the dishwasher was full of water. My initial reaction was that the filter was clogged but on removal it seems fine and nothing is obviously blocking the outlet.
Then I noticed that the front panel is dead. When I say dead I mean it has power (indicated by the orange “on” light) but none of the other lights are on (usually my low salt light flashes). When I hit the start button absolutely nothing happens – not even a beep.
My instruction book leads me to believe that the problem isn’t a blockage in the outlet pipe because I’d be expecting some flashing lights on the front panel indicating an error if this were the case (unless the error is cleared when the washer is switched off and on). Also, if it were a fault with the pump wouldn’t that have an error indication too?
My deduction is that the electronics part in the door has gone faulty but I could do with some 2nd opinions before I start to take the thing apart and investigate further.
Thank you.

OK – managed to get into the electronics on the front door and I’ve managed to answer some of my questions.
It looks like the control PCB (the one behind the 3h, 6h, 9h, 12h lights) is fried. The connector at FST1 has burnt out. Think this is the power connection to this board because the cables were blue and brown. Now they are kind of black! The plastic casing round the connector is all black and melted too. There’s a lot of electrical corrosion on the connector so I’m thinking some sort of malfunction in the connector’s wiring.
So, I guess the question is how easy is it to replace the PCB and also the connector. Anyone know the part numbers? Or, should I consign the thing to the scrap heap?

Well did some thinking overnight and had another look at the connector (that was connected to FST1).
There is a blue wire that comes from the on/off switch on the door but the brown wire disappears off down the door and underneath somewhere. Does anyone know where this connects to? I looked at some other posts about the DI620 (which uses the same PCB so is hopefully similar?) I think the heater circuit is on FST2 so could this be the drain solenoid?
I’m beginning to worry that the fault is not with the PCB itself but elsewhere – whatever is on the end of PST1 or the wires that run down the door and get bent and straightened a million times every day.
Anyone any experience of a similar fault?

My Indesit IDL 700 UK has stopped working and I cannot get it started. I replaced the start/reset button as the PCB had broken and I replaced the On/Off stitch as it has burned out. I also noticed the brown wire is burned in appearance where it connects to the on/off switch.
Looking at the door from left to right, the first two lights are flashing and also the two red salt lights.
What are the codes for the lights as I have been unable to find them?
All help appreciated

Lights 1 + 2 signify a drain time out, possibly an obstruction in the drain pump.
