    Hi,
I have a problem with my dishwasher.
Basically my 2 and a half year old daughter climbed on the door while it was down and it rocked forward and hit the underside of the worktop, didn’t seem like it could cause much damage but since then it has not worked.
The power light comes on when I press the on button but nothing else. I can’t start a cycle can’t do anything, just turn the thing on and off.

Any ideas what could be the problem

    Thanks

Unfortunately the door may be damaged or misaligned now and not activating the safety switch on the machine. It might be an idea to call a local engineer to look at it for you.

OK, I have tried proving the switch for the door.
I unscrewed the control panel section on the front and I can push the door latch to the closed position which engages the switch for the door. Powered on and still the same thing happens. Sounds like the switch is working as it clicks when it is pressed. I don’t know if there is a secondary safety feature with the door so it knows that it is still open? Which might be stopping it still?
This along with checking for loose connections etc is the only thing I have tried.

if the door switch is working my next check would be the start switch itself
