    Hi,

My first post on here. Apologies if my question has already been answered, elsewhere. I did try a search but couldn’t find anything.

My Indesit IDL40 dishwasher seems to have a fault. The program runs for a little while but then the second (wash) and fourth (dry) lights start flashing together.

Could someone tell me what the fault is likely to be?

    Thanks.

Heater failure. Either heater has failed, connector burnt out or pcb has failed.

Power off if you are investigating this yourself.

Wow – thanks for the very quick response!

The dishwasher is definately still heating up. If I open it up when the lights are flashing there is a lot of steam and the inside is very hot.

Would this still indicate heater failure?

    Thanks.

    Evidently not…….. 😀

Fault info is not very specific. I suppose it could suggest lack of temperature control or detection; although, technically, they have their own fault codes.

Usually with these things if the fault is not “logical”, its the PCB.

    Where’s Helo_75 when I want him? 😆

    Thank you, that’s really helpful.

Is this the part that needs to be replaced?
