Had a quick look at this machine for a friend. The dishwasher is underfilling it all starts up and works just not enough water to circulate the spray arms.I suspect its the flow meter or am I barking up the wrong tree.

if water is coming out of wash blades slowly like an ornamental fountain then it’s the wash motor.

I hear what your saying franz but I could hear the motor kick in.When I opened the door there was only water just above the filters. There should be enough water atleast to reach the bottom of the salt cap.Do you know if flow meters cause underfilling on these machines. Why is it always the jobs for mates that turn pear shaped.I think I should go back and have another gander at this pile of poo.

To confirm whether franz is on the right track just chuck a bowl of water into the tub to see if the circulating pump gets them spray arms a’twirling as they should? If they still don’t then franz is spot on (well almost as it could just be just the pump rather than the motor.)

If not then the flowmeter has to be possibility I would think? 🙂

Could be a blockage somewhere. I can’t see how a flowmeter could malfunction in that way. It would have to give out lots more pulses than it should be doing. Hard to imagine. Or the board would have to count them wrong? Or is it one that “learns” the water level from previous wash and needs some sort of re-set?

Phoned my mate up told him to start it up then top it up with a jug of water upto salt cap.He said the arms are still not moving but there is a lot of water coming out of both top and bottom spray arms. It sounds now like its some sort of pressure problem.Circulation PUMP on its way out or blockage.I carnt wait to get round there and find out ……Not
