Indesit IDL500 Top spray arm problem

The Top Spray arm on my IDL500 will not go round – I changed to nut and seal that it connects into and have checked it is clear of debris etc but it will not go round – the dishwasher is only 2 years old

Any help – would be appreciated.

Does it rotate freely when you give it a spin by hand?

It rotaes freely – it seems to drop a one end and get stuck on the tray.

I changed the nut at the back that has the seal on it – made sure it is not blocked – I am thinking it maybe a pressure problem – lack of water getting to the topspray arm.

put d/w on any programme, let it run for a minute or two until you can here it in wash action…this gives the main wash motor time to fill and pump the water around the d/w…then open the door slightly and see if the top arm is moving. this would indicate if the wash motor is strong enough.

I have tried that – the arm is not going around.

Some water is coming out but the arm is not going round

If there is a good pressure coming out of the holes in the arm then the arm itself is worn and will need replacing.
