ParticipantHi ,
Our Indesit IDL530 is missing some of the program sequences and not heating up. The machine completes the cycle, no error codes/flashing lights, but the dishes are wet through and no heat is present at the end of the cycle. At first I suspected the element inside & replaced that but still the same. It seems to be going through the wash sequence without heating the water, them misses the rinse sequence and goes straight to dry without heating up and then finishes the cycle – but about 15 minutes qucker than usual.
Any ideas? Hope you can help please.

Let me be frank, Frank…It is not wise to change any part just because you suspect it. A simple test with a megger or multimeter is all that is required before you change anything.
If you don’t have access to a megger or multimeter and know how to use one then you really shouldn’t be poking around inside in the first place. 😉
However the control PCB’s on these machines are really poor and often cause a no heat fault. 😥

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. No I don’t own a tester but do know how to use one. In my experience, with respect, you don’t have to be a brain surgeon to mend most houshold appliances. Experience as to the cause of the problem is a great help which is why this forum is so good! None of the engineers I have used actually repair anything – they replace faulty parts and I can do that once I locate it!In this case the element showed signs of scorching so I replaced that first. I know I have wasted a little money doing so, but if I replace the Control PCB too I still won’t have spent anywhere near as much as an engineer would have cost me.
Thanks again for your time and help with this excellent forum & site.

Hi iadom
Thanks again for the info. It was the Control PCB and I wasted £40 ish on the heater element – I could have bought a tester for that! 😳Best regards

Hi frrussel
I have a similar problem with my Arthur Martin / Electrolux dishwasher. How did you identify that yours was a PCB problem?

There is no connection between the mchine as they come from different mnufacturers.
Please start a new thread with your problem, including the model number of the appliance.
