indesit idl535 beeps and switches off

hi please could anyone give me some advice, for the last few weeks my indesit dishwasher had started to run for a little while then make lots of beeping noises. But the last few days it makes the noises and then just turns its self off with all the lights going off. Thanks Ange

Tell us which lights flash by number from left to right .

hi, it was flashing the 2nd and 4th, but now just beeps and turns off, and then after a while turns back on again, thanks

Its an IDL53S BTW, 😉

Lights 2+4 are very common on these machines. It a heater fault, it can be the heater or the control module.

As your machine appears to have the heating element that is visible inside the tub rather than the tube type heater which is underneath the machine it may well be the module.
The type of heater you have is not as prone to failure as the tube one.

The only way to proceed is to unplug the machine and test the heating element for resistance, continuity and earth leaks first.
