We have had an Indesit IDP 147 dishwasher in a rented property for the past 12 – 18 months. As far as we know, it has performed adequately. Upon inspection, I found an M5 x 30 stainless steel hex head bolt with what looks like black sealant on the head, in the removable part of the washing filter in the base of the unit. This can happen in washing machines where things fall out of pockets, but in a dishwasher, this is a mystery.
Can anyone tell me if this type of bolt is used in the dishwasher, and where it might have come from. I have had a look inside the washing chamber and I can’t see any empty holes. They all seem to be countersunk bolts.
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.
