    Hi All,

My nan has a INESIT IDVA735(UK) that has had the classis fault of the shaft snap, I looked into parts and found a few kits, BUT!! my nans one does NOT have screws holding the shaft onto the drum it is welded and a few shops I spoke to said it couldn’t just be replaced I had to order the drum with the shaft welded to it!! So I thought what a better place to ask then on here as I guess other have had this and would know if there is a way round it.

New drum is the only proper way to proceed, apart from buying something better made which is not hard.

I have heard of people using an angle grinder to remove the old bit but it is not something I have ever attempted.

You could give it a go, you have little to lose either way.
