ParticipantHi all
I am not sure if I am missing something really obvious with this one but it has me stumped at the moment.
I need to change the thermostat in this unit, it looks like the phial goes into a tube and that it should just be a case of pulling it out but it will not come, the unit has been turned off since thursday afternoon and is well up to room temperature inside and I can’t see anywhere where the phial might be screwed to. I don’t want to put any more pressure on the phial as I am worried that I will snap it off if I do. What am I missing?
Thank you
Jem

Product Code: 47259190000
Serial No: 303034013Just in case that will help anyone identify what may be the possible reason that this unit does not want to release its stat.

It should just pull out as it just feeds into the tube on built in Indsit fridge freezers.

That’s what I thought but it is stuck solid, it feels like it is jammed right down towards the end of the phial.

Have you taken the fridge freezer out of the cabinet.

Not yet, it is in a shalet on a campsite and it was going to cause too much disruption due to lack of room (the holiday makers have been given a temporary unit for now), I am also waiting for one of their maintenance men to give me a hand lifting it out of its cupboard.

It should be just in a tube but it is worth checking it does not come out at the back of the appliance and then down another tube.

Well we have had this unit out and still couldn’t get the stat out, it sounds like it goes halfway up inside the fridge wall and stops and there are absolutely no covers, openings or holes inside or out at that point so the unit has been scrapped.
