Hi there,
Ive just read http://www.justanswer.com/uk-appliance/ … s1611.html about fitting the decor door to the integrated fridge – however, the decor door weighs about 10kg and its relying on those two plastic sliders? it seems like it would end in disaster. Is that right?
Because to me, it just seems like the whole thing will fall apart.
Maybe my decor door is heavier than is suitable for the plastic sliders.
It seems weird as the previous fittings were heavy duty solid metal snap hinges.
Re: indesit ins1611 Integrated fridge Decor door fitting hel
Really? The door is unbelievably heavy though, I was thinking at some point the weight is going to pull the fridge door down so its no longer level, or take the whole thing off (which is the more probable scenario) as the previous hinges/fastenings were so heavy duty.
I really have the fear about it. I am but a mere girl and stuff like this is guaranteed to go wrong for me lol :/
Re: indesit ins1611 Integrated fridge Decor door fitting hel
Hi
The hinges on the fridge door are a heavier duty hinge than normal freestanding machines, designed to take extra weight. The door weight spread by two fridge hinges and the slider bars screwed to the door edges are more than capable of taking the decor door weight.
If you have any doubts as to fitting etc a local kitchen fitter will be able to advise and fit for you.
