    So the drum isn’t turning on our tumble dryer and s burning smell coming from it. My feeling is a fault with the belt or something??

    Am I on the right track? How easy is this to fit for an amateur?

    Humming noise? Then it’s the motor capacitor that has failed and the burning smell is the motor windings gone up in smoke as well. 🙁

    Drum turns OK but burning smell? Fluff on heater or something jammed in the drum or the belt shredding.

    So, a number of options to try for there. 😀
