Belt change is an ‘arse’ of a job. 😥
Getting the new belt back over the jockey pulley is the hardest bit, some people use the old belt looped around the new belt to heave it over the pulley.
I have tried different ways, sometimes feeding the belt around the drum and motor shaft with the drum at the side of the machine and then turning the drum into place.Send me an e-mail address via PM and I will send you some info.
Must add, I have never used the method given in the service manual which involves loosening the motor.
Its one of those jobs that you just have to have a go at and work out which way is best for you.
Jim.
PS. Check the rear bearing and shaft. 😉

I had to use a hammer to get them bloody clips back on the motor bracket on a white knight dryer ..took me longer to get them on than to strip it all down and clean everything in sight 🙂

i do it this way, peice of piss with old belt, new belts are a bit trickier but still by far the easiest way to do it -
