I have got an Indesit is70cs tumble dryer had no problems with it for the last year until yesterday turned it on and when it reverses the drum it makes what I can only describe as the same noise as a very loud hammer drill. It now makes the same noise at startup and shutdown….needless to say I’m not using it and am awaiting an engineer.

Does anyone have any idea what the fault could be?

    Thanks.

yep, one of the fans is faulty

if it continues after the machine is stopped, its usually the rear one (behind the rear access pannel(plug out ouf course!))

other than that its the cooling impellor, which isnt quite as easy , and is internal

    Re: Indesit is70cs Noise

Thanks for the reply, when I said it makes the noise at shutdown what I meant was if I open the door it literally grinds to a halt thats how it sounds anyway….then the noise stops completely.

    Thanks.
