Participanthi, in need of some advice. My indesit dryer is blowing cold air. I have cleaned filters ect. also my high heat button wont go on and just keeps beeping and flashing when pressed, could anyone advise me if this has something to do with the problem? i have looked in the manual for trouble shooting and theres nothing to help.

probably thermostat problem, happens to a lot of indesit/hotpoint/creda dryers….how old is it?

hi, its only about a year and a half old, iv read a couple of posts about similar problems and i thought it maybe thermostat, dont really want the expense of a call out. Is this easy to fix? where is the thermostat located?
need specifics (female here ! lol) could poss get the help of a man tho.

Participanttheres two different kind of heaters on that display
plug out first, take off rear fan cover, and the heater and stats are located on the inside, screwed to itis there 2 or 3?
u can get the stat kit im sure, available through the store

Hi, ok iv took of what i think is the fan cover and inside it there are 4 coily things, remember female here ! is this what im looking for?

That will be the heater elements you are looking at.
The thermostats will be the small round devices with wires running to them above the heater.You have to take out the tiny screws that hold the elements to the panel to gain access to the thermostats.February 4, 2008 at 8:49 pm #242120cassy

ya! think i located thermostats there are 3 of them, thought they would look burnt out or somthing but nothing to look at. What should i do now?

you can get a stat kit for it,but the cause of the problem is more than likley that the condenser and float chamer are blocked with fluff . 🙂

Participantor maybe the starts just faulty
blocked condensers cause poor drying performance, they rarely cause stat failure
