Hi everybody, having problems with my dryer can anyone help! here are the symptoms.

My Indesit ISL70C Condenser Tumble Dryer has got a constant empty water light lit when the water tray is empty. When you select start it makes a short beebing noise then dryer does not start.

I have tried switching it off and on.
I cleaned the interior filter and the large one at the bottom.
I took the water pump and floatation switch system at the back off and checked it and it semed fine unless a faulty switch.
Then I took the top off (looking at the outside of the drum) and checked all the connections (power in etc) were secure.
Thats about as far as im willing to go before things start getting broken even further!

any help wil be greatly appreciated

    cheers guys

    i reckon

the pin to activate the door switch has fallen off

    open the door

just above the door opening is a small hole.. on the door, in the same place should be a small shaft attatched to it which locates into the hole, activating the switch

it could be bent, or missing!!

proofs in the pudding… stick a screwdriver in the hole, then press start

if it starts, its the pin thats the problem!!!

let us know how u get on, please
