I have an irratating noise from what I know now is the pump. I have replaced the bearing, drum pads and microswitch. The problem is the pump dosent stop pumping even when the float is down on the bottom so when theres no water to pump the pump must dry out and then the noise starts. I thought the microswitch would have controlled when the pump started but I have fitted a new one so have I missed something somewhere.

Pump runs all the time. Microswitch is just to activate the warning light and switch the heater off .
