ParticipantI have This machine in the workshop. when my engineer went out to it first of all it was completely dead. I sent the module off to EMW and the sent it back repaired. Now the first problem is that when you plug the appliance in the door locks immediately and the door lock light comes on, even if you turn the appliance off the door still stays locked and the only way to get the door open is to unplug the appliance. If you ignore this problem that the door locks and start any programme it goes through the programme no problems at all until it gets to the end of the cycle the end light lights up and the door lock light stays on and the door stays locked, if you leave the machine alone for ten minutes all the lights across the top of the display start flashing and the fourth and fifth light (drain and end)come on the door lock light goes off but the door is still locked). the pump comes on for five minutes and the lights continual to flash. I have sent the module back to EMW but they have retested and said it is fine. I have checked insulation on motor, element, and thermister and they are all fine the element and motor meter out fine and yes I have tried a new door lock. Any thoughts anybody as this is bit of a mystery Regards Neil

its a bit of a difficult one this
i would have said the board was faulty and if it were me i would swop the door lock triac but since EMW have looked at it you would assume they have checked for leakage.
you could also try an experiment. disconnect all you can ie motor, heater valves etc and see if door locks. The theory is if it still ocks with it all disconected then you can rule out some of the components
hope it helps

I have spoken to them and the module has been back to them twice, I may ask them to send me another module I can try in the machine

Hi folks. The answer to this puzzle is even though the nice people at EMW said the module was fine on three separate occasions it turns out the repaired module was not as repaired as it should have been. I eventually ordered another module from EMW fitted it and the problem has gone away. I have boxed up the originally repaired module and it is winging it’s way to EMW with a covering letter. Oh well all’s well that ends well (apart from the hours I have spent on this machine testing and re-testing). PS Dave I did not replace the triac because (A) I did not know which was the door triac and(B) I did not want EMW to have any course for complaint. PPS thanks Criscold for the manual it stopped me from going MAD Regards Neil
