Indesit iwc6125 express wash taking longer than usual

Hi,

My Indesit IWC6125 washing machine has started taking longer on its express wash. Where it used to take about 30 mins to complete the whole cycle, it is now taking between 60 and 90 minutes.
Hoping there is an easy fix for this and I don’t need to get a plumber out or have to shell out for a new washing machine!

Hi Dave,

It’s heating and the other cycle we use is taking the normal amount of time. It’s just the express one that is taking longer but only the washing part of the cycle – the rinse/spin/drain part is taking its normal amount of time.

We tried turning it off at the wall over night and that seemed to work; it seemed like the cycle took the right amount of time but then the following day when I did the washing, it took longer again.

Must add that you cannot possibly WASH anything properly in 30 minutes. You can freshen them up but they won’t be WASHED. They will still be full of bacteria etc. 😉
