Indesit IWD51231 Detergent dispenser won’t remove

The instructions say “remove by raising it and pulling it out”, but raising it does not free it LH. The RH slides over the raised catch so that the drawer starts to swivel to the left, but no amount of raising lifts the LH sufficiently for the drawer to come out.

Advice gratefully received please.

You are not pulling hard enough after you have lifted it slightly.

Open the drawer, then lift it slightly on the inner right hand side, then the inner part of the drawer should slide away from the front plate of the drawer..so actuaaly the front of the drawer remains on its swivel…

Should have checked model number first Muv, IDW51231 does not have the hinged drawer. 😉

Yes, should have checked model no!
I assumed It was the swivel type..

That’ll teach me

Thanks to all, I got there in the end. Not perhaps the best design that requires brute force in order to carry out a routine cleaning operation.
