Indesit IWD7145 washing machine fills but then sticks

Hi all

Hoping someone can give me some advice

We have a 4-5 yr old Indesit iwd7145 washing machine which has recently gone on the blink, it would only start programmes by filling and emptying.

So I removed and cleaned out the pre-chamber on the pump at the bottom of the machine, and likewise de-gunged the pipes under the sink and then tried again.

Now the machine will fill, but won’t go any further – I tried a couple of different wash programmes, and it will drain when selected manually, and on one cycle came up with an H2O error code – I think it says on here that this is to do with the water in/out feed?

And my wife thinks that it had an F3 or an F8 error one time recently but she switched it off and it reset and carried on – is this a heater issue?

Any thoughts/advice greatly appreciated!?!?!?!?!?!

Have the motor brushes ever been replaced? 5 yrs old and they should be a real problem by now. 😉

Could be one of a few things, but cetainly sounds heater related
