Hi. Got this indesit washer dryer to sort out, serial number 110072241 and 80624760100. Fault is you close the door, select and start any programme and the machine starts with the door locked-that`s good! When finished the programme door refuses to unlock! Turn power off to machine and door still refuses to unlock!- not so good! Problem I have is that when you look up the i/lock it comes up as c00085194 which does not look like the one fitted, so either I`m missing something….usual! or there`s been a part change or I`ve got an incomplete model number. The one fitted has a release bar on top of the swt which with the work top off sticking a hand and pressing the lever unlocks the door…………I have my suspicions that the poxy boards gone and that the interlock is a symptom of the board. God how I loath these machines. Any pointers /help please, thanks.

I’m sure I had this a few months ago. The new lock now listed was the same as fitted on the old WMA range.
Hand one in the van, held my breath and all was fine.

Thanks guys. Will order the i/lock and see what happens, fingers and legs crossed! I`ll report back on Wed or Thurs as to how it all went.

A million thanks. Yes I/lock was at fault, replaced and machine now works and door now opens. Amazes me, looking at the enclosed `destruction` leaflet how many different makes of door locks it takes for Indesit to get something reliable(?)- when I worked for them 22 years ago they had the same problems back then- think it is called cost cutting or stupidity……nope, it`s both!
