Folks, hi and well done on a great forum,

I have a problem with the above, I am certain it’s a bra wire because the machine is fairly new.

The problem is – how do I get the damn thing out !

I have took the top off, the back off, removed the drain hose underneath, undone the water pump thing on the top, even took off the water paddles inside (which have cracked anwyay … nice), moved the drum around etc etc and nothing’s happening.

It’s as if the metal is stuck completely and ‘twanging’ against the drum 4-5 times per revolution, and it seems to be behind and to the top end of the bit between the drum and the casing. I can’t actually see anything though to be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that’s the issue.

Is the alternative to get rid if this thing won’t drop out ? Any help is gratefully received,

    Cheers !

The bad news is that this low end budget machine in common with lots of other sub standard kit on the market has a sealed drum, if you cannot fish it out through any of the holes that the internal hoses are attached to or by removing the heater from the back of the drum then you are stuffed. 😥

I had to scrap a 14 month old one recently because it had a sock stuck at the back of the drum. 😥

TBH you should not wash underwired bras in a machine or if you do put them inside an old pillow case first.

Cheers mate, thought as much, it’s a decent cheap machine apart from the fact that you can’t get at anything ! I’m thinking of running it ‘under supervision’ and see if it twangs out of the way down to the bottom.. nothing to lose ??

Cheap it certainly is, in no way shape or form is it ‘decent’. :rolls:

well what I mean is it does the job, plenty of programmes etc … by the way I drive a Vauxhall Vectra – there’s a pattern forming hehe …

Anyway, FIXED IT .. tell you what, those bra bones are stronger than you think, nearly pulled summat forcing the damn thing through the hole. Quite pleased it took minutes this morning after a couple of hours of serious chin stroking yesterday …

Sometimes you do get lucky with bra wires, I always use an old pillow case secured carefully with two safety pins when washing underwired bras.

The Vectra is a ‘decent’ car, now if you had said a Trabant you may have been getting nearer the current quality of an Indesit. 😉
