Indesit IWDE12UK Fault Code and Reoair – HELP!!!!!!

Hi there

I’m new to the forum and hopefull that someone will have the knowledge that I’m looking for….

I’ve an Indesit IWDE12Uk which has occasionally over it’s 7 year life thrown up a bank of lights on the display. Usually I disconnect the power then reconnect and it’s fine. At the weekend the christmas lights started flashing and can’t be turned off/reset.

I’m aware of the existance or error codes, however can’t pin down which error codes apply to this machine. The video on the espares site suggests that it may be an error code 15, while the Indesit website refers to several versions (evo1 etc), with different error codes for each. I tried to ask Indesit which list applied to my machine and got ‘computer says no’ as my response 😡

The folllowing lights are all flashing at the same rate (rights to left);

– Lock
– Spin speed select
– Rinse select
– Anti crease select
– Time delay select

– Also from the 4 cycle stage indicator lights, the (bottom) drying light is flashing.

Any concrete information on what this error code is and what the test first would be appreciated.

Ignore the flashing lights, if the very bottom, right hand vertical light is on steady then that is error F01.

Motor triac fault (allegedly ).

Can be motor, wiring or main pcb at fault. all in all not good news. 🙁

if iadom’s post does not fit the problem there ia a small capacitor that goes on the main board causing all the light to flash

it goes because these units a powered 24 hours a day unless you switch off at plug
fair simple fix for a professional

Note that when electrofix say ‘all’ lights he does mean every single light on the machine not just the ones along the top. 😉

2 capacitors on the main board replace as they were bulging. Now working perfectly.
