INDESIT IWE7145 problems

Hello,
My washing machine has decided to stop working 1 week after our baby has arrived so its not ideal. It is an indesit IWE 7145 and has the following symptoms
1. Turns on great all programs selectable
2. after a program is selected nothing happens but time counts down
3. short drain cycles do not work – washer is silent throughout
4. if a wash cycle is selected the washer is silent until 30 mins in then a hum is heard and error code F01 – motor triarc problem is shown
5. Door is always locked even when cycle is finished or before cycle is started (i have opened the door manually but problem persists)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, i am quite handy at repair jobs and DIY but would like some expert advice before opening the machine to have a look.

Several different models of the 7145, full model number, serial number and commercial code required TBH.

You could check the motor carbon brushes if it has a brush gear motor.
