    Hi All,

Hoping someone could help me before I decide to either call out Indesit, or just replace the machine!

I’ve discovered that the washer is not heating the water at all, yet will happily complete a cycle without error. The unit is around 18 months old.

I am certain it’s not heating because I even tried putting on a hot wash, (skipped pre-wash) and waited around 15-20 minutes for the main wash then paused and overrode the door, which when I felt the water it was stone cold! It does not matter when I check the door warmth in the cycle, it’s just always cold! And yes I am certain that a temperature is set on the display / cycle.

My guessing is this is bigger issue than just the element as it’s not detected any heat from a sensor, and maybe a PCB issue?

So before I call in Indesit and potentially waste £55, I wanted to ask the experts here if this is going something they declare “uneconomical to repair” – If that’s the case, i’d rather just put that £55 toward a new unit, than have a technician visit to say that!

    Thanks in advance!

Heater faults pretty common. It would cost more like £100 to call Indesit though. Try the find an engineer search on here and you might get the job all done for 60ish.
