    I have a 5 year old indesit IWME12, never had a problem until now. The power light and lights 1&2 are continually flashing. I have been able to reset the machine by leaving it unplugged then the cycle will run. However this has stopped working so I have no way of using my machine, please help.

    1+2 is supposed to be a communications error.

    All the connectors on both pcb’s need checking and tightening up, also worth checking the motor brushes. Be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to go further.

    Thanks for your reply. Are these easy things to do or is it worth getting an engineer to do them?

    Impossible for me to answer, I have no idea of your technical abilities. The fact that you asked the question leads me to think it may be wise to ‘get someone in’ .
