Indesit IWME12 Washing Machine – possible overheat/not spin

Hi All,

Sorry guys, this ia a bit sketchy as a mad neighbour of mine has just called me.
They have an Indesit IWME12 which is causing problems.
The machine appears to have boiled the clothes and caused massive colour run in the fabric and has now stopped with a full load of water remaining in the drum.
Ive asked her to draing the water, remove the clothes and try the machine again checking that the drainage pipe at the rear is not kinked or blocked, apart from this does anyone know of the issue based on my symptoms?
Is there anything else they can do?

I would suggest getting someone in to check out the machine before they use it again. You seem like a handy guy as you’ve posted no end of questions on many and varied appliances in the past (Are you in the trade I wonder???).

Perhaps you could check out the NTC in this instance? 😉 💡

no Martin, sadly not in the trade but am a handy guy like you say. just trying to do someone a good turn so thought Id ask the question…that is what the forum is for right?
