    Hi all

    I wonder if you can help me , im having some trouble with my indesit iwme126 6kg washing machine it will not drain , ive checked the pipes for any blockages
    And done a manual drain via the pump drain and still no joy any ideas..oh i also ran a spin cycle with drain plug out and did see pump spin …

    Im now lost..and need help

    The little permanent magnet pump is prone to failure. It may appear to run beautifully when it’s not under load (empty) but any amount of water and it won’t shift it. If the impeller has the slightest lateral movement indicates the bearings are knackered. A new pump the solution.

    Also the ball valve in the sump hose can be a serious issue when liquid detergents are used. The valve gets sticky.

    Another thought is perhaps a coin is stuck in the drain pipe beyond the pump and acts as a valve? Open one minute, closed the next. Worth a thought.

    Finally, it’s an Indesit. They don’t last long, the mechanics are weak and the electronics total c-rap.

    Hi

    I have just taken off the drain pump ,seam’s to be no blockage’s after drain pump , There is a little movement on the impeller and when i shake the motor i can here water inside or could it be lubricant

    Im not sure??????
