    Hi, I have a Indesit K642VSXG which is the gas hob, combined electric grill and oven. The gas still works but none of the electrics works – the grill and oven don’t work and the ignition system also doesn’t work. The light for the oven doesn’t come on.
    The fuse has been checked (by my wife) and allegedly works, I will check this and the supply myself tonight. Any ideas what might be wrong?

    Also I know it is illegal and stupid to work on gas, does this mean that as it has a gas hob I can’t work on the electrics?

    It’s illegal as you are not qualified to diagnose any gas faults which may be present on appliance – better call in a qaulified engineer just to be safe.

    Luckily for me after a bit of work last night I can now say that the cooker works and the socket it was plugged into doesn’t work. I know several sparky’s so it’s all good 🙂
