ParticipantI have Hirundo WDC 1026 also known as an Equator Washer Dryer EZ3612CEE and Indesit. Actually I have 3 that came out of an apartment building: 1 works, another has a split bellows seal that probably dooms it for cost of repairs and the third unit over-fills with water. I have been unable to find an electrical schematic and the parts list does not have any listing for an obvious water level sensor. When I turn the machine on, the water keeps flowing until I turn it off and drain it with gravity feed. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.January 16, 2010 at 9:26 pm #308937Penguin45

Part listings, part numbers and spares available HERE.
Water level control is by a diaphragm pressure switch. Remove lid and look for a small unit with a skinny hose running down from it. Switch should “click” when gently pressurised. Air hose may be detached or holed. Air bell at the bottom may be choked with goo – strip and clean job.
Stay safe – power off.

Thank you! I found it. The claret beckons so I will dig into this tomorrow morning. Great forum and moderator. Cheers for now.

Can you advise me on a model number cross reference to an Indesit machine? I think I will do better having a friend in the UK order parts for me than trying to buy them in the USA.

All you have to do to get the Indesit part numbers is put “C” in front of the Equator numbers. 😀

Penguin45,
Thanks again. The hose on the pressure switch assembly was abraded and open to the atmosphere. Easily and inexpensively repaired with a length of vacuum hose and more careful placement of the foam bumpers. 😀January 17, 2010 at 4:59 pm #308942Penguin45

You guys’ll get the hang of front loaders in the end 😆 .
Well done,

My Bosch dishwasher is next. It has been reported that it is not heating the water. I already read your advice to another post and imagine the basic design approach is similar. Like the governor said…. “I’ll be back” 😆
