The machine wont run on program 1 (pre-wash). If you try it fills with water then pumps out and door lock light flashes very fast with the lights 1,2,3 from the left flashing slower.
The strange thing is the machine works on all other programmes so does anyone have a clue whats up.

1,2, & 3 are washer dryer fault codes. Its an Indesit, you have to be thankful that it is actually working in the first place. :rolls:
Its a spurious error thrown up by the worst washing machine electronics currently on the market.
In over 40 years in the trade I know of very few people that actually use the Pre Wash programme so carry on with the other programmes for as long as you can. 😥
NB. It can cause confusion if you post about the same machine in different threads as you have done, keeping it in one place helps to keep things tidy.
To be brutally frank you should bin it and buy something decent.
PS. Reading your other thread I’m curious as to how you ‘changed out the PCB’ without any mention of a smart card or smart card reader. 😕

why what do you mean by a card reader. I really am new to this all I did was buy a replacement and switch it. Would that be why the fault still remains.

All Indesit group products now have PCB’s that need to be programmed with a smart card ( approx £12) using a smart card reader (approx £95) .Where did you buy your replacement from?

second hand board from a friend with the same model that gave out a fortnight ago. The motor and drum seal went on his and board was fine

May not have the same file in the PCB eeprom, that could explain the spurious error messages.
It would have to be the exact same model with a very similar serial number to be a direct swap.
Seriously, if you can get it to do any sort of wash at all then think yourself very lucky, run it until it breaks again ( which may not be to long ) and then consider a better quality replacement, you know it makes sense. 😉

I think I will take your advice mate. The Missus bought the last one without any research into common faults on the net. Are there any your recommend for around £350

£350 is at the low end as a benchmark figure, £400 to £450 gets you into decent quality machines, mid range Bosch/Seimens or ISE for example.
