Indesit model No WE 13 fault code 12

Machine comes up with fault code 12 on an Indesit WE 13 can someone advise please

Unfortunatly I (and most other engineers) hate Indesit, so I can be bothered explaining their plug + pray module fiasco. I’ll just say…

They are a pain in the butt!

Get an engineer to it, or find some kind of giant trebuchet, to launch it at a brick wall!

I wouldn’t say I hate Indesit, as I have a vested interest in fixing all machines including Indesit. I therefore can offer you a less radical remedy to your machines problem 😉

Error 12 relates to a “communication problem” between the main module and the display module. It may well just be a bad connection that needs a tweak !!!!

Sorry, hate is very strong word! It’s correct for what I feel about Indesit, but I shouldn’t say that ‘most’ engineers feel the way that I do!

My point was, that most Indesit washing machine, are a pain in the neck 😕 And it’s hard to find an engineer that likes working on them, because of their high BER rate and expensive spares.

And I just want the public to know my opinion on Merloni…

Merloni = suffering. Don’t buy a Merloni product!

Maybe this should be continued in the trade forum, if/when?

Thanks for all your help. I must admit we do have alot of the same problems with indesits and they all seem to point to the same problem control board.

Have to agree with Goatboy on this one the latest Indersit machines really are the PITS and not worth getting out of bed for. Guess they invented the first disposable washing machine well done Indesit.
As regards repairing them, what is the point when they are likely to go wrong again under your gtee period costing you money or more likely something else going wrong leaving the customer with the opinion that appliances are not worth repairing. 😥
