Happy new year everyone 😀 i went to a Indesit SIXL145SUK washing machine (the moon series) today which they were complaining would stop 3/4 of the way through (according to the blue circle of lights). I couldn’t get the machine to start though as the door would lock but the door locked light would not come on, if i operated the lock with a screw driver though the machine would start filling. So i am going to order a new door striker as nothing seems to be out of place but i haven’t a clue how to test it, there doesn’t seem to be a spin program just 5 washes the instructions say nothing about this. Any help would be really appreciated
    thanks Peter

Had a Servis do exactly this on me today.Encouraging the door made no difference. Decided as the customer didn’t want to spend a lot that it was best to cut a small hole in the door trim so he could give the striker the extra little push needed with a pen.

Double action hinge, Mike? Tea towel, big screwdriver, lever door to the right, off she goes, every time.

Thanks alot for the reply Chris that is really helpful. i can’t believe they would design a machine you can’t put directly into a spin or empty position. Thats going to be annoying for testing emptying faults
    thanks again Peter
