Indesit Omega 1100 (WN1196WG) Washing Machine

Hi, I having a problem with the above m/c. When in a wash cycle, instead of the motor running slow the motor runs at spin speed! Is it the controller switch and if so where can I obtain a replacement? Need assistance for an old friend.

Does it slowly ramp up to speed or does it seem uncontrolled?

This could be a number of things, not so easy to test either. It almost certainly will not be the programmer as you suggested, it could be the motor speed module or the motor itself or even the wiring in between.

Dont forget to unplug it before investigating.

Hi, instead of the motor running at the normal slow wash speed, it seems to run at a constant spin speed instead.

Rob,

It is a ‘communication error’ between the Motor and the Speed Control Module. It could be the Tacho Coil on the end of the motor or its connection directly to that Module.

Not a DIY fix in all honesty!
