Hi feel a bit silly posting this but just a piece of mind. model IFW62301xuk
very simple oven no fan just top and bottom elements. just replaced the elements all ok but noticed visible top element glowing bright red. would of thought this wouldn’t be glowing so bright on the oven setting without grilling the food. bottom element works ok. would this be normal

its normal as long as its only the outside element and not the main grill section

once the oven get to temp it will settle and cool down a bit

it’s only a single element dave that does the grill and oven. not an inner and outer like most

well unless they moderate the power like some of the hoovers do with a second floor element its going to glow red on warm up
