Evening all, Have got a client whose Indesit FXJM6 ,IFW6340IXUK oven has thrown up a fault code of F06 and stopped working. The manual is really helpful and says contact indesit as possibly a software fault. Any advice from the gurus on here ? Google throws up loads for indesit washing machines but nothing for her oven ,

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for that, apologies for all the questions i am a mere sparky. How do i measure the temperature measured by the probe ? If it needs a new main board is that a manufacturer only job?. as for the door lock, I assume its got a microswitch or the like that tells it when the door is shut and locks it , or is it a lock assembly all in one ?.

    Thanks for any help

Also the client has just told me no issues with burning food, never knew it even had a door lock lol and has just told me the oven was very noisy before it stopped working ?? That to me sounds like the fan ? Could that cause the over temperature if the fan has stopped working ?
Just trying to get ideas as i want to go and fix it and not faff about.

could have been the fan but wont account for the fault code you have now

does not say if it has to be reset following the code or if its a faulty component

as for door lock i have not checked parts listing but fault codes go across a range so your may not have a lock

Board as you say can only be fitted by someone with the equipment and the ability to programme it as the board come blank
