I have an Indesit PAA642IX/IWE gas hob and the electronic ignition keeps sparking every few seconds. All gas rings appear to be sparking. Even after the gas rings are lit, the sparking continues.
Any idea what’s going on and does it need to be fixed by a gas engineer?
It’s more likely a problem with one or more of the thermocouples Don, it’s got those on it.
If it’s only when using one burner that’d indicate one thermocouple is faulty, but if it’s more than that it could be more of a pain to track what’s up with it.
and yes as Don said. to fix anything on a hob the unit would have to be removed. since this would mean breaking a gas connection then any repair would have to be done by a gas safe engineer
