My frost free fridge freezer is having problems. The fridge is not cooling properly and when you open the door there is a regular intermittent whirring sound (assume this is the fan). Compressor is quite warm. The freezer is quite cold with tiny amount of icing at the back

Im sorry you have had no reply for a week 😯
If you are getting tiny amounts of icing at the back of the freezer section in a frost free appliance,it may indicate a problem with the defrost or warm air ingress.What I would do is allow the appliance to be switched off and defrosted (put some towels down in and around freezer section) and then switch it back on and see if the fault re occurs.
Sometimes they just don’t get the defrost right or the freezer door may have been un intentionally left ajar and made the appliance work harder and thus giving you this fault.Let us know how you get on. 😉
