Indesit Semi Int’ D’W door stuck

Any ideas on how to open the door on an Indesit Semi Integrated Dishwasher, it is screwed to the cabinet on top & won’t pull out, can’t see model number but it seems a basic model about 4 years old, door handle is broken (i presume) it is still in place but doesn’t seem to catch anything when you move it, do i have to actually break it out to get door open or is there a simple way??

Any help is appreciated

Usually it is the door latch pin mounting that breaks and then locks. I’m afraid a little friendly force is needed to open the door 🙁

And the door latch assy that is already broken, will be the only damage caused…hopefully 😀

I tried the force thing but it wouldn’t open, i quess i’ll have to try even harder, do you mean the part fixed to the machine, i had thought that the door handle itself may have been at fault as it doesn’t seem to be doing anything ( no contact), i’ll try & force it open & hopefully i’ll bring a few spares with me to cover all eventuallitys…

Yes indeed it is the door handle/latch assy that is the fault (usually). Advise your customer first at the action required in order to access this fault, so that you cover yourself against damage charges etc 😉

It’s their problem and not yours if further damage is created, make them aware thats all :tup:
