…out of interest, what does ‘Incompatable eeprom’ mean? I take that it means a faulty pcb?

hi clive, an eprom is the little micro chip that fits on to the control board. some of these chips were a push fit and so could be easily replaced(no soldering)but there was a few different eproms, and a few different boards 🙄 so you had to make sure that you had the correct eprom for the correct board 😕 i think that the new ones allready have the eprom soldered in, to avoid confusion

thanks deltra, so I assume it’s a software error….in which case I hope someone can provide a part number for the eeprom…

    It’s a W123UKBG serial 210241150, the number on the module is 215007255.00

I have found plenty of listings for the UK model but not the UKBG model so whether it is different I’m not sure….i did a repair on the motor mount a few months ago and the was a pig to get the right bit, the ‘BG’ bit making all the difference!

you will find that if it an origional module the eeprom will be soldered on so you will need both module and eeprom. Module c00093157 and eeprom c00094742 if the machine is fitted with plastic tank and c00089846 if fitted with metal tank . if the machine has had the module replaced in the past then it will be fitted with a service module which has a removable eeprom and possibly get away with just the eeprom. Good LUCK
