Went to this job and back inside panel was frozen and compressor would not switch off. I replaced the thermostat and got the same problem. The compressor is quite noisier than I would expect. I normally don’t bother with refrigeration as I don’t have the gassing equipment. Any pointers on this would be appreciated.

Further to my request for info on this fridge, I have been reliably informed that this model has a problem with the back Liner as do many other models and brands. Behind the evaporator plate there is aplastic liner which has separated this allows ice to build up on the wet wall. To confirm this the fridge should be defrosted to see if the evaporator plate feels spongy when pushed. If it is there is nothing you can do to correct this failure.
