Need full model number, if it is one of the later ones then the answer is with a saw. 😥 Completely sealed outer drum unit.
If it is a W101UK/B you are stuffed.January 3, 2006 at 10:11 am #159537tonyclifton

It’s easy enough to tell, the W101/A has a removeable backplate, the W101/B has a sealed tub, yours is the latter I think.

Hi, you want to cross your fingers it’s a sealed tub………………them backplates can be a right pain to reassemble!!!! Give me a whole tub anyday!!!!!! Anyways, if you remove the lid, you’ll see straight away whether it has a metal band around the rear or not.

At a cost of £96.00 plus vat and labour, who would be stupid enough to spend that on an Indesit that was more than likely under £200 to buy in the first place 😥

carry new machine (one you recomend )on van
try to diagnose fault in house if too expensive offer new one advise customer of need to avoid cheaper poor quality machinesi sell new aprox 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time when thier’s uneconomical repair
