A friend is having problems with a indesit tumble dryer model idc85uk and serial number 509286156. Apparently it has stopped spinning, is it likely to be just a simple belt, also how difficult are these to work on, having never done a tumble dryer.
    Many thanks Daniel

    could be various things

there an idler pulley on the belt, they fail if they have not been modified, just did one today

belts do go but check idler as well

also if belt ok but drum wont turn the early motor use a capacitor which is also a common fault

Cheers Dave, what modification should be done to the pulley?. You mentioned it in your first reply.
