ParticipantCustomer complaining that when this machine has finished a wash the machine has overheated shrinking the clothes, the machine fails to spin and the clothes come out hot and wet.
They are sure the machine is not set to tumble dry, they say the machine doesn’t flash any error codes.
The inlet hoses are the correct way round, the machine spins and drains when tested. No earth faults found.
It sounded as if the machine was going into the dry cycle and not condensing. The condenser is clean and getting the water supply and the fan is working OK.
I’m running out of ideas where else to look!
Any ideas on this one would be appreciated.

Update to above.
Returned to machine and have confirmed at the end of a wash the machine goes into the tumble dry although the dial is set to the off position. I have checked the control knob is not offset.
I can only assume this has to be either the fascia PCB or the main control PCB.
Has anyone found this problem before or have any idea which PCB it’s likely to be?

Sometimes the dryer will run when not selected if the small wiring plug on the dryer control has come adrift or is not properly connected.

The connector appeared to be OK, I removed and refitted it but because you have to go thorough a cycle to test didn’t know if it rectified the problem or not.
If a loose connector can produce this fault i think it might be worth going back and tightening the connections on the fascia and control PCB and seeing what happens.

Sounds like a facia PCB problem, might be case of sending both PCB’s to EMW to test.

If I couldn’t get any suggestions here a call to EMW on Monday was next on the agenda.
Thanks.
