Indesit W103 Help!!!!

Does anyone know what could be causing my machine to spew little strips of plastic into the pump filter and the drum of the machine? It looks like the drum is not properly attached at the bottom and so this could have something to do with it. It is making some very strange sounds but both motor and pump seem to be working OK.

2 possibilities, Firstly something caught between the inner and outer drum (the outer being a plastic compound material.) and secondly the inner drum is loose (bearings collapsed) and it is rubbing against the outer drum. 😥

Either way it could be a costly fix 🙁

thanks for your help Martin. Guess I’ll start looking for a new machine. Have had this one for about 7 years and this is the first problem I’ve had so guess it’s the start of the end. The plastic does look like something that would belong to the machine so I’ll guess at the second option.
