Indesit W103 suddenly stops working

I have an Indesit W103 washing machine, that we have had for about 2 years. We have had various faults with it. In fact, it got written off by the service engineer when it less than 1 year old, due to the fact that the suspension had broken, but he managed to do a temp repair that hs lasted.

Now, all of a sudden, when we switch it one, the machine will fill, and then just sits there. The power light doesn’t flash, but niether will it turn the drum or drain, if the dial is moved to drain.

I have removed pipe from Pressue switch, thinking that there was a blockage, but without much luck.

Any ideas anyone?

Could be anything really from the motor brushes to a problem with the PCB. Make sure you un plug before trying anything.

Remember, on this machine just turning the knob to drain or spin will not alter the original program without going through the reset proceedure first. (select the end of program ‘dot’ switch on and wait for light to flash quickly, switch of and then set new program.)
