    Re: Indesit W1035WG blows trip

The replacement motor finally went in today.I mean yesterday. It does the job but seems a little bit slow on spin. I tried it with the tacho coil from the old motor which had a lower resistance but it made little, if any,
difference. The module is one of those old WZ670/2 ones. It has on it a preset pot labelled RV1. Does anyone know if it’s worth trying to tweak that? Would it adjust spin speed? Or maybe I need to use the magnet off the old armature?

The pot did adjust the spin speed but not very much.
Changing the tacho magnet over from the old armature made a big difference and putting its own coil with it things finally came right. 😀

My one is still available new so you can find a photo on Connect etc. It is indeed square, not round and I suppose the tacho impedance might be wrong. Old Indesits may have been better built than the current ones but they were always b*ggers for changing parts sizes etc every 5 minutes.

Yeah, I read that the first time but it surprised me that the magnet itself made such a difference even though it looked almost ezactly the same!Perhaps it has more, or less, poles?
