KeymasterI’ve tried reset the machine by return the dial to the ‘dot’ and switch it on. It flashed quickly and I turned it off.
Set the dial to ‘8’ for daily wash and switch it on.
Water would come in and it would started to turn, but that is it.
It would just stop and just sit there with water never drain.
I checked the filter and did found a penny. I checked the hose from the drum to the pump, found a nail and a 5p coin.
Tried the machine again with no success.
Any suggestions?

When it stops, does it literally just stop dead with no lights flashing, no control knob rotation ?

Correct. It won’t go beyond the number ‘8’ on the dial and just sit there with the red light stay on. No flashing.

Well? What do you think it is?
Where can I get a good price on parts for Indesit W123?

It sounds like the main control PCB to me to be honest.
Normally they should detect any errors and display a code by way of flashing lights combined with the knob rotating.
Although it has been proved on many occasions that Indesit’s fault detection is unreliable.
I would recommend an engineer to double check before condemning the PCB as they aren’t cheap (£75-£85) and should you replace and it proves not to be that it’s rather an expensive assumption.
Have a look in repairs@ for one should you need one 🙂
Other than that, every component needs checking to eliminate, if you are going to have a look yourself, power off of course :plug:

Just fixed it.
Got a drain pump from a local supplier for £19.00 and it was the drain pump’s magnetic coil that gave away after a while.
It couldn’t generate a magnetic field, which spins the pump and may have been damaged by a nail or a coin that I found in the filter.
